Bay Area Carrom Club is pleased to announce the next carrom tournament, to be held in Fremont on saturday August 28th 2010. With all the talk about the upcoming Carrom World Cup in Virginia, we thought we would keep the excitement abuzz in this part of the country by celebrating with our own local tournament. Besides, the USCA needs our help raising funds for the World Cup. They are a non-profit organization that is entirely run by volunteers who are dedicated to promoting carrom in the US. Hence, all proceeds from this tournament will be donated to USCA towards their world cup funds. So, here we go -

How to sign-up: Send your entry fee of $15 by Paypal to firstname.lastname@example.org (same method we have been using for the past tourneys). We will confirm your entry by email within 24 hours of receiving payment.
Cash Prizes!! Separate groups for beginners and advanced level players. No first round knockouts - every player will get to play atleast 2 matches (or 3, depending on number of entries).
Anyone can participate. You can compete in one of two possible levels - Amateur or Advanced. The match format, equipment, and play time will be pretty much the same for both levels, we simply wanted to group people by skill level to offer a fair chance for everyone and keep the competition interesting. Although walk in entries will be accepted, the number of entries is limited so register early and secure your spot!
1. When using paypal, please select the "personal" tab to avoid unnecessary service charges. And remember to indicate your name and skill level.
2. If you don't have a paypal account, you can pay by cash at the venue, but email us beforehand.
3. The amateur league will start at 9am and get over by 12pm. The advanced league will start around 11am and end by 6pm.
This page will be updated with further details as we get closer to the tournament date. As usual, we will try to conduct a few practice sessions before the tourney.
