BACA Carrom Coaching Camp

Feb 27 - Mar 1, 2020

One of the core missions of BACA is to elevate the skill level of local bay area players, to not only take their game to the next level, but also enable them to better compete in national level tournaments. Towards this end, BACA is proud to organize an intense multi-day carrom coaching camp in Feb 2020 in Fremont, CA!

The camp will be conducted by none other than world’s No.1 carrom coach, Shri. Arun Deshpande, ex-Indian national team coach and “Carrom Dron” awardee! An erstwhile champion himself (won the Indian national title and Maharashtra state title several times), Arun has been coaching players of all skill levels for the last two decades.

If you are a carrom enthusiast living in the bay area, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a drastic improvement in your game! Please find additional details about the event below. Register now to confirm your participation!

Deadline to register is 12/19/2019.

FAQ

What will be the format of the coaching camp?

There will be a maximum of 24 participants, who will be divided into three categories based on skill level - beginner, intermediate & advanced. Arun will provide tailored training based on the group’s skill level, with a significant amount of individual/1:1 coaching as well.

What will the entry fees be used for?

Entry fees are used to cover the cost of the event, which include Arun’s flight tickets from India, Arun’s coaching fees, venue, equipment, and light refreshments for participants.

Is the entry fee refundable / Can I pull out of the camp after registering

No, entry fees are non-refundable. Participants cannot unregister from the event. If they fail to participate in the event after registering for it, they will forfeit the entry fees.

If I miss one day or a few hours of the camp, can I make up on other day?

No, there will be no make-up classes. Participants who miss part of the camp will miss out on critical training time that cannot be recouped at a later time. All players are expected to spend 100% of the scheduled time at the venue (3-9pm every day of the camp).

I am unable to commit to the camp right now. Can I sign up later?

No. The deadline to register for the camp is 12/18/2019.

Is there a shorter version of the camp?

No. You cannot pay a smaller amount and receive coaching for a few hours. Four days is the minimum length of time recommended by Arun to get the most benefit out of his coaching. He does NOT offer shorter coaching sessions.

Will food be provided by the organizers?

Light refreshments (eg: snack & chai) will be provided as part of the entry fees. Full meals (lunch/dinner) are not included.

Any expectations on my carrom skill level? Can newbies participate?

All skill levels are welcome. Players will be coached according to their skill level. The only thing you need to have is passion for the game of carrom!

What can I expect to get out of the camp?

You can expect to walk away with plenty of new tools to improve your game. Arun will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses, and guide you on how to best leverage your strengths and address your weaknesses (which will typically involve plenty of practice drills & discipline). If you follow his guidance and apply his techniques diligently, there is a very high chance your game will improve leaps & bounds as a result.
